Not bad looking, certainly reminds me of the GitS 2nd movie, which was just as awesome as Appleseed 2004 (omg yes), which I have burned to a DVD somewhere... _________________ AKA PC Tman

I've gotta admit I was not nearly as big a fan of the first two movies (and not just because they each took at least two viewings to fully comprehend the plot) as I am of the SAC series. This is mostly because of the character development. I'm hoping that since this is advertised as a continuation of the SAC series that they won't be as static as they were in the first two. That and having Motoko only as a bodiless entity kinda sucks. _________________ Your writing hurts my eyes. It's like the text came off the page and sexually assaulted my eye sockets. |

Well, I dl'ed the movie w/ subtitles, and as soon as I have spare time I'll watch it and let everyone know if it's a worthy dl. I did watch the first six minutes, and they've already introduced a phantom enemy called "The Puppeteer," so from that alone I imagine the movie will be filled with as much mind-fuckery as the previous films and tv series. _________________ Your writing hurts my eyes. PISSER! The last line in the f*cking movie wasn't subtitled! I'll try other copies to see wtf Motoko said to Batou at the end, but that's a problem w/ the file and not the movie. I do have one complaint about the movie, and that's that after watching somewhere around six times the scene when they reveal who the "Puppeteer" is, I can only say that I think I might know who it was, and if my theory is right, it makes no sense whatsoever. But it is kinda supported by ridunkulously ambiguous dialogue later on [why does every f*cking spellchecker insist I spell it dialog!? It looks retarded!]. And it IS a GITS movie and as mentioned above, mind-fuckery is to be expected. It's a very fast-moving movie, the plot never really slows down (and one sequence of events actually got ME, the Amazing Plot-Analyzing Movie Ruiner, to go "Ohhhhhh, so that's what was going on!" The only time the pace breaks is when you have to pause the movie to read the subtitles cuz they're talking so damn fast (or my personal favorite, the two people talking at once w/ two separate sets of subtitles at the same time). Oh, and the ending (sans the untranslated part) doesn't suck ass and leave the characters in a wholly identical situation as to the end of the series (damn Conqueror of Shambala). So yeah, definitely a recommended DL, and if I can find one w/ a properly translated ending (and for that matter, one whose subtitles can display kanji, as I have the japanese language pack installed and when they actually wanted to show kanji it still showed up as A~I!*A [you get the idea]), I'll upload it on the FTP if I get clearance from the bossman. After all, bittorrent sucks, especially when your bittorrent client gives a specific warning that it occasionally crashes when used in conjunction with a hardware firewall built into your mobo.
EDIT:
Oh, and to paraphrase many of the next-episode-previews from NGE:

Sure you can upload it, just be aware it may take a while for a file that big on cable-internet or DSL (whichever you may have). _________________ AKA PC Tman
