Just finished watching the last episode of Utawarerumono - insanely badass anime (especially towards the end it was hard to watch only one episode per day). I highly recommend it to anyone with approximately ten hours (23 mins per episode, 26 episode series) to kill. Time and server space permitting I could even zip the series up and upload it onto Tyler's ftp, upon request and with permission, of course. There is a wikipedia entry on the series, but I wouldn't recommend reading it until after watching the series as it spoils the pivotal mystery of the story. Fair warning though, this is one of those anime's whose ending falls about a half-second short of a definitive conclusion. Picture the end of "The Departed" if you saw the bad cop finally get shot, and you're almost completely positive who shot him, but they never show you and just cut straight to the credits.
Also, my current avatar is based off one of the principal characters in case anyone's been wondering about that.
