December 14th is UF's last day of classes, fyi. My last exam is on the 11th so I'll probably be headed back to PC soon after. UF also starts up on the 7th, but I could give a shit less since (apparently) I'm not taking classes next semester.
[rant]You see, demand for English courses is higher than UF can supply, so despite my being admitted into the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and that I haven't exactly been giving them monopoly money for the past three years, the only way I can take classes next semester is if I graduate now and go on to post-grad here at UF. Incidentally, this would require (a) signing up for, taking, and passing the GRE in the next three weeks, and (b) my having submitted an application to the MFA (Master of Fine Arts) program by January 8th...2007, which I think still has a greater likelihood of happening than (c) my being one of approximately four (not four percent, but four) people FROM UF that get admitted into the MFA program here. Oh, and since apparently there are no graduate classes in the spring, they don't allow students to start their post-grad courses until fall. So yeah, that basically renders all of that information completely useless - so thanks for that, oh wonderfully deleterious dean of mine.
You see, that's exactly why I think I should still be allowed to take courses here, because for all the crap English courses where I didn't do the required reading and still managed to BS my way through the essays, clearly they are true masters of their craft, and I still have a lot to learn from them about creating good, quality bullshit.[/rant]
So *cough* yeah, December 11th.
[EDIT]Side note - on the topic of having great jobs, what does everybody think of me + this? _________________ Just the omission of Jane Austen's books alone would make a fairly good library out of a library that hadn't a book in it.

Seems neat, if you have those required documents. Also, do they require you to go to Japan or is working in the States or maybe even "anywhere"/"from home"? _________________ AKA PC Tman. XBL = x TechnoTman x

Pretty sure I'd have to head over to Nippon, but I'd be working w/ the people who make one of my favorite franchises of all time (Star Ocean). I've yet to prepare a portfolio, but if I got the job I think I'd be willing to make the trip. _________________ Just the omission of Jane Austen's books alone would make a fairly good library out of a library that hadn't a book in it.

[EDIT] I guess this is what I get for not checking my own links - I accidentally linked to the wrong job description before: this is the one I was looking at (it's called Scenario Drafting, just in case the link still doesn't work) _________________ Just the omission of Jane Austen's books alone would make a fairly good library out of a library that hadn't a book in it.

So I dunno when our window of opportunity for EVERYONE to have one last get-together is (or, from the looks of things, if it's even possible), but we should try to come up with something soon. Aside from what's been posted, the only thing I know is that whatever happens, it absolutely HAS to end at Steak and Shake in PC at some ungodly hour of the morning. _________________ Just the omission of Jane Austen's books alone would make a fairly good library out of a library that hadn't a book in it.
