It's my understanding that he's probably gunna need a new helmet...though part of me suggests letting him keep the one he has as a reminder

Not so sure... seems only cosmetic damage to the helmet. He said the black marks were just dirt.

| My roomate drives a bike and is very knowledgable....When you crash on your bike and you hit your helmet agaisnt the pavement the helmet is done with....and also I would only buy a helmet from my roomates dealer who gets them at cost....which is still over like 150 bucks for a semi ok one....so I dont think that would do.....I say lets just think deep and get him something creative.... |

He didn't hit the pavement though... he drove off the off-ramp into the dirt and top-sided.
