so my car smelled like oil (the reason I couldn't drive to St. Pete) and my mechanic told me that it was probably the driver-side valve-gasket (a ridiculously common problem on my car) so I was estimating about $300 (what it cost for the passenger side). Imagine my surprise when he calls me today w/ a bill of $1200 to replace the driver-side gasket, cam-seals, and timing chain tensioner seals. 10 hrs of labor because the motor has to be pulled, you guys will know my pain in only a few years. Cheers! _________________
