Might I suggest using Adblock or Adblock plus to remove most ads from places, such as these forums ;-)

Also a favorite of mine is flashblock, which stops those annoying, screen-filling ads that force you to click on them. It makes all flash into a box the same size (not the full screen ones, they're just disabled) that you need to click in order to activate.

Image Zoom, for holding right click and scrolling to resize images. Pretty handy for those rediculously small pics.

FlashGot, for downloading *all* the links inside your selection area or on the entire page, etc, by sending them to a downloader (such as GetRight) and starts them right away. Can also save all selected pics in the area. I've used this many times to download teachers' PPT slides / files etc all at once.

Well you could just google it or something, but apparently it would take too much effort so I'll save you the trouble :P. Foxytunes puts a little docket in the lower-right corner (or wherever) of the browser with all the tools you need to play music you've queued up in most standard players, and even lets you 'dissapear' the player so it doesn't clutter up your taskbar (which is the big reason why I use it).

I suppose you're gonna tell me Mac has a built in (flawless) pop-up blocker, ad-blocker, flash-blocker, etc? I think not.
